Twitter Lists How to...
I am setting up my Social Media to demonstrate how you would proceed if your goal was to find new or better employment. One of the first issues I encountered was that I follow NASCAR on my Twitter account. Of course there is nothing wrong with following NASCAR in terms of job search but for my situation I would prefer not to have all my NASCAR followings show up under my profile. The fix: create a “list” and set it to private. Click on the list tab, next click on the create list link. Next give it a name and description and make it public or private. The last click is the save button. Finally, start following your personal subjects under your new list and unfollow them on your old public list. Now any prospective employers will only see your very professional list of who you are following!
